Kelas Naskah Organization
As the founder of Kelas Naskah, Markus initiated Kelas Naskah Goes to School, a social project designed to expand film literacy and introduce younger audiences to film education from an early age. The initiative extends Kelas Naskah’s educational mission beyond its free screenwriting classes for young people by bringing conversations about film directly into elementary schools.
Through the program, students are introduced to the idea that films are not only a form of entertainment, but can also communicate knowledge, values, emotions, and different perspectives. The activities help children begin thinking about the kinds of films they watch, the messages those films communicate, and how to identify content that is appropriate and meaningful for their age.
By introducing these conversations in an accessible way, Markus uses Kelas Naskah Goes to School to encourage critical thinking and a deeper appreciation for storytelling among young audiences. The project reflects his broader commitment to making film education more accessible and helping younger generations develop a more thoughtful relationship with the stories and media they consume.
